I am joining the University of Strasbourg and the BETA this fall as associate professor.
My main research topics are Development Economics, Family Economics, and Environmental Economics. I study how individual decisions about resource allocation, labour market participation, savings etc. in developing countries are depending on the household and extended family structures they are embedded in and how these family institutions are affected by changes in the environmental, legal, and economic conditions. So far, my work has focused on Sub-Saharan Africa, especially Senegal, and on Colombia in its postconflict scenario. |
